Broken WebP Images

If some images show as broken after WebP delivery is enabled:

  1. Open the image URL directly.

  2. Confirm the original JPG or PNG still exists.

  3. Purge FastMe cache.

  4. Purge CDN cache.

  5. Disable Image Optimization temporarily and retest.

  6. Re-run image optimization if your workflow supports it.

  7. Check file permissions on the uploads directory.

Common causes:

  • missing generated files

  • stale cache serving old references

  • incomplete media processing

  • an origin file that was deleted or moved

  • CDN cache mismatch
