Quick Start

If you want the safest setup path for a new site, start by installing and activating FastMe, then enter your license key. Allow the plugin to complete its first-time setup and checks before changing any optimization settings.

Open the FastMe settings page and begin with the safer core optimizations. Enable Browser Cache, Image Optimization, Font Optimization, and JS Optimization. For the initial setup, avoid aggressive CSS optimization options until the site has been fully tested.

After enabling the recommended settings, purge the FastMe cache and clear any CDN, server, or additional plugin caches. Test the homepage in an incognito window, then verify important pages such as product pages, blog posts, archive pages, and forms to confirm everything loads correctly.

Once the site is stable and functioning properly, you can begin testing stronger CSS optimizations or mobile-specific performance settings. If your build includes FastMe Magic, use it as a convenience starting profile rather than a replacement for proper testing and verification.
